In the last year, our team has planned and DJ’d in Denver, Cancun, England, & Toronto with a Midwest and Northeast base. Sugar Events was founded through Sahil Mehta, a bhangra dancer and music enthusiast in his own right, all starting through a habit of being asked to connect his iPod at parties throughout high school and long road trips. Fast forwarding to present day and with a decade of experience, the team has grown into multi-ops with several headlining DJs, day-of coordinators, MCs, dhol players, and dance choreographers & performers all dedicated to creating the sweetest memories at your event. With every member of the team balancing both western and South-Asian cultures, we blend a mix of Desi music of all genres (Bollywood, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) with American Pop, Hip-Hop & more, alongside providing guidance on how to help construct your event's timeline and executing it perfectly. Our team goes above and beyond to make your wedding, reception, sangeet, mehndi, birthday, graduation, corporate event or anything else extraordinary through music, lighting, special effects (SFX) and coordination.
