Sean Neafsey focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, including financial services, product liability, mass tort, consumer fraud, insurance, securities, and antitrust litigation. In addition, Sean has represented clients in civil and criminal government investigations and litigation relating to allegations of fraud and abuse under the False Claims Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Sean serves companies in the healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing/consumer products, banking and financial services industries. He also has handled disputes for several major companies in the insurance and reinsurance industry. His experience extends across all stages of litigation, from the pleading stage through discovery, motion practice, and trial. He has experience defending class actions as well as multidistrict litigation. He also has substantial appellate experience, having handled appeals in the US Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third and Ninth Circuits, as well as the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey and the New York Appellate Division, Second Department. Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Sean served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Virginia A. Long, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. During his clerkship, Sean reviewed petitions for certification, prepared bench memoranda, and assisted in the preparation of written opinions in a variety of civil and criminal matters.
