About Pouneh Aravand
POUNEH ARAVAND is an associate in the firm’s New York office. As a member of the litigation group, her experience includes matters within the Commercial Litigation and Disputes, International Arbitration (Commercial and Treaty), White Collar: Government Litigation & Investigations, and Securities & Derivatives Enforcement and Regulatory practices. Pouneh has represented a large corporation in a pending international arbitration before the ICC, various financial institutions and hedge funds during investigations by the SEC, the Integrity Committee of soccer confederation CONCACAF in connection with its investigation of fraud allegations involving the organization’s former President and Secretary General, and major financial institutions in commercial litigation and disputes cases, among other matters. Pouneh graduated from Yale Law School, where she served as articles editor of the Yale Journal of International Law and editor of the Yale Human Rights Law and Development Journal. Prior to joining Sidley, Pouneh served as Ella Baker Intern at the Center for Constitutional Rights.
