About David P.Salant
David P. Salant is a litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Mr. Salant earned his Juris Doctor in 2015, cum laude, from Harvard Law School. As a student attorney at Harvard's Criminal Justice Institute, he represented indigent clients in criminal proceedings (including jury and bench trials) before the Boston Municipal Court. He is a winner of the law school's Williston Negotiation Competition. Following law school, Mr. Salant served as a law clerk to the Honorable Naomi Reice Buchwald of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. After his clerkship, he assisted Professor Ronald S. Sullivan in a criminal defense matter pending in the Superior Court of Suffolk, Mass. Mr. Salant received his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Columbia University in 2010 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
