Central Baptist Church was organized in October 1963 by Pastor Harry Owens, is a wife and twenty-six other members as the First Baptist Church of Occoquan and was located in the Town of Occoquan in Prince William County. From the Business:Indians For Christ Tamil Church is an inter-denominational fellowship of South Asian Christians which is an evangelical, Christ centered, spirit led, family oriented church with contemporary and traditional praise and worship in spirit and truth committed preaching and learning of life transforming word of god, committed to the ministry of praying and fasting, committed to Evangelism, Missions, Discipling, Training and Equipping god's people to do god's work, to reach and build the body of Christ. A small dream, immense dedication, and diligence was what that led three individuals to plant a small seed like Indians For Christ (IFC) in November of 1987, which has now grown to be a robust Tamil church. The first baby steps taken, where through caroling around the Washington Metropolitan area with the intention of reaching out to Indian Tamil Christians and inspiring the older and younger generation in worshiping and glorifying God in our Tamil language, irrespective of their denominational differences.
