i got my food to go and thought the butter chicken was quit pricey, they did give you a lot for what you paid for. the garlic naan was absolutely delicious, especially when dipped in the chicken. i got a whole container of complimentary rice a long with some rice pudding as well!
One of the few restaurants which has a great vegetarian menu. Loved all the dishes esp. Noodles. The desserts were great too. Last but not least try out the Indian beer guys, you won't feel disappointed.
Their food, their service and their ambience is awesome.
We have enjoyed dining in or taking out from Minerva for nearly 20 years! The food is always delicious and authentic, and the atmosphere is lovely.
Service was quick, food delivered hot. & to individual specs
Food is excellent. Some of my favorite all around Indian food. They have our favorite lunch buffet with a great selection. The spice is fantastic. Only suggestion I wish they had saag paneer at the lunch buffet!
Great place for lunch buffet in town.. Have been to couple of other indian places and none beats Minerva.. Staff is very courteous and respectful. This is my goto place evry weekend for lunch .. The food is good with decent varieties of choices.. Highly recommended
Minerva Indian Restaurant seamlessly blends tradition with innovation. The laid-back ambiance sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. The classic Indian dishes are a testament to the chef's mastery, while the daily changing lunch buffet showcases their commitment to keeping things fresh and exciting.
Every meal here offers a rich and authentic experience that brings flavors alive. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
We visited this place for lunch buffet on sunday. All the food items are very Tasty. We loved the chilly chicken appetizer and chicken Biryani. Even the desserts were delicious. Love to visit again.
This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Make sure to try the butter chicken and garlic naan. The owner is incredibly friendly. Service is usually prompt, but during peak times, you might experience a bit of a wait due to the small staff. The only time the wait was problematic was just after the hurricane when other places were closed, so it was understandable.
This is the first time I have been to this restaurant and it sure won't be the last they have such an extensive menu there's something there for everybody I had an Indian friend with me who has been to most indian restaurants in Tampa in Tampa. However he had never been to this one and this gets his number one grade A Star the food was wonderful the service was outstanding the owner came over and gave each of us a gift card was incredible what we're going to try to do is do their brunch on Saturday sometime can't recommend it enough
Good bar-fare, nice staff at night. Nice place to get a beer, some food and just hang.
It was great experience. There were five parties visited and had a good experience. The food was very good and the environment was welcoming. The manager - Venkat, was very supportive on our special requests.
Very happy with my first time dining here. Their masala dosa was really good. The sauces that accompanied it were great as well! Chicken 65, fish, and the Minerva special biryani were awesome. The biryani especially was one of the best in the Tampa area. The Hyderabadi chicken curry was just okay. Service was friendly. Overall enjoyed our experience and will be back.
From the first course to the last, it was a flavor explosion. Spicy, but not over done. The vegetable samosa was seasoned beautifully. They had a complex profile with a floral note on the end. The papadon were light and crispy and not just a bland cardboard. My tomato soup, something we've all had before, was an introduction to a new friend. Herbs and spices come together elegantly. Then comes the Chicken Tika Masala. It was fork tender and with a flavor so deep that I felt like I was in the chef's home kitchen. Well worth coming.
The waiter told us about 80% of the food on their ala carte menu was in their buffet but that was a flat out lie. The buffet is not worth the money just get the ala carte. Food on the buffet was dry and some of it wasn’t the freshest. Their food is really spicy but still has good flavors
Really good goat curry. The goat biriyani was decent, there could have been a higher level of spiciness to it and less star anise. Good mango lassi also but the butter chicken needed a bit more creamy flavor, not bad at all but just not as rich as I've grown accustomed to. This was the buffet that I tried for the first time and it was good overall. The made to order dishes may probably have more flexibility for spice level since the buffet is made more to please more palettes. Overall a solid B if I had to give a grade.
Friendly staff, top-notch service, and amazing food. Came for the lunch buffet and I was thoroughly impressed with how many options were available. Will definitely be returning!
Wonderful restaurant. We always get the same man who takes care of us when we come to order. He is a very kind and polite man. The food is always fresh and delicious. We have come many times both for buffet and for regular food. Their dosa is great. They definitely take good care of their customers. We love their food!
I bought a Special paneer briyani and the taste was awesome. One thing I should say is even though I got it in offer and the quantity and quality for that price is great. You will not see that in other restaurants.
Amazing Indian food especially if you are vegetarian
This was the best Indian food I’ve ever had hands-down. I’ve eaten in a lot of places in different cities and genuinely this was the best. Usually when I eat alone, I watch a TV show or movie. I texted my wife that I had to stop watching. The show was interrupting how much I was enjoying the flavor of the food. It was the food version of turning down the radio so that you can see the road better. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
this place has extremely tasty Indian food honestly probably the best ever i have gotten from a place. the portion sizes are also great it last more than 1 meal. the only reason i am giving 4 stars is because the service, at least for take out, is a little bit off. i called before their lunch break and they said it was ok to order, but when i got there the restaurant looked dead and i had to wait a while for anyone to assist me. even then, they seemed confused and it took a while for them to get me my food. they also forgot silverware. still, their food is really good so i would have to say it is worth it. definitely a little pricey but that is the case with most Indian places. They also gave me a complimentary free dessert of rice pudding which was very nice and tasted good. I like their vegetarian samosas as well.
One of the hidden gems in the Bruce B Downs area. Minerva serves authentic and delicious Indian food and occasionally puts a South Indian spin on dishes from other cultures. They have an excellent butter chicken, excellent samosas, an excellent chili chicken recipe and imbue all their foods with that authentic South Indian flavor.
Very inconsistent. Sometimes we love it. Other times it's just mediocre.
Really enjoyed the food here on a recent Saturday night, especially the tandoori chicken. The dining room’s ambiance leaves a little to be desired though. Their food app delivery business is prolific and the dining room has become a waiting room area for UberEats and Grubhub drivers. Many of whom were loudly complaining about the wait times and arguing with the restaurant staff.
I like it here, excellent food & service. Staff treated us so kindly.
Wonderful restaurant. We always get the same man who takes care of us when we come to order. He is a very kind and polite man. The food is always fresh and delicious. We have come many times both for buffet and for regular food. Their dosa is great. They definitely take good care of their customers. We love their food!
I went to the buffet, it was spectacular. Food was great with many choices and more. It was worth the money. Server was attentive, location was clean. Will definitely return back and recommend friends and family
Since relocating from Northern Virginia, my quest for authentic and delectable Indian cuisine led me to Minerva Tampa. On our first visit, we decided to try the samosas, which were amazing! The accompanying sauces elevated the experience, adding layers of flavor that were both rich and tantalizing. Not only does this place cater to my dietary restrictions (I don't eat meat), but the overall quality of the food is genuinely commendable. The prices are reasonable, making the experience even more enjoyable. I'm eagerly looking forward to trying their buffet soon. If you're in the area and have a penchant for Indian food, Minerva Tampa is a must-visit!
Dum Biriyani was good, didn’t like the goat curry much, but overall good experience.
Buffet offered vegan and non vegan entrees the food was very good in flavor , a little spicy and the cilantro rice was an excellent dish
I came at about 6:30 on a Friday night. It was pretty busy with takeout orders, so the food took quite a while. That being said, my family really enjoyed our meal. They have a really good selection of vegetarian dishes, which is nice, and though I'm no expert, I thought our mattar paneer was really good, and so was the Chaat. Came with plenty of rice and some kind of dessert we didn't even order (maybe it was a chutney and I just don't know what I'm talking about).
An amazing dining experience! The food presentation was stunning, and the flavors were extraordinary. I’m already looking forward to returning!!
We had the food delivered. The food was delicious and nothing was spilled. The delivery driver was great!
Very disappointed with the sambar and chutneys, it was completely watered down. Seems like a family run restaurant and they seldom disappoint. But this one did, we will not be going back again
When we had food at parties it tasted very good. And our first visit to restaurant was good experience too. But recently we went on Friday evening, I dont no why, the food was not at all good. They gave complimentary papad with chutney, felt like papad fried days ago, it was not fresh at all and bad smell coming too. Curry was also nt great.
They have various options, that is why I prefer Minerva.
Had the Lamb Tikki Masala, fantastic. It did take them 5 minutes or more to give us menus. But after that everything was just about perfect, got our beers nice and fast. Food was amazing, service after the first mishap was a 10 out of 10. Would 100% recommend, and get at least a six on the spiciness. I personally get a 8.
Absolutely fabulous, authentic, Indian Cuisine! My mouth begins to water the moment I step inside and take in the delectable aroma. I resisted my temptation to review Minerva after my first visit. I wanted to be sure they were as great as my first impression told me they were. I was right. They are great. I’ve been there 3 times now and will be there again today with a friend. You are in for a big treat each time you go. They are consistent in the quality of the fresh food they serve. You’ll want to try everything, but, pace yourself because they have such a wide selection, it will make your head spin. For the lunch buffet, I take a little bit of just about everything and then go back and fill my plate with whatever I like best that day. No matter what I choose… I always enjoy! Treat yourself to a great meal at Minerva, and then go back with friends! They’ll thank you.
Tandoori chicken was succulent and bursting with flavor. The charred edges added a delightful texture that complemented the juicy meat. A definite favorite!!
I live in Charlotte County and when shopping in Tampa, this is my go to place. The masala dosa and vegetable biryani is excellent and plentiful. The facility is clean. I would highly recommend this place.
AMAZING Indian food! Girlfriend and I were craving it and Google led us here. Everything is so good. When they told us they have a lunch buffet for $9.95, I knew where I find my girlfriend at lunchtime from now on.
