I hired this company to do the photography for my daughter's sweet 16 at the recommendation of her friend's mother who used to same company for her daughter's sweet 16 last fall. While their prices weren't the lowest of the companies we looked at, having a personal recommendation meant the most to me, so we booked them. They also helped with some of the décor for the venue, as much of what they had in their portfolio matched the aesthetic that my daughter had put together in her pinterest board. We were thrilled to find a company that did multiple things. My daughter—being a typical teenager—didn't really care that much about the photographer we chose, but once we got the pictures back, she was really excited about them. I think that the special moments were captured perfectly; I was really happy with how the party came out; everything looked great. The additional decorations helped bring everything together. It took a little longer than I might have expected to get the photos, but ultimately our experience was a good one. I would recommend them to others for sure!

My husband and I had the best experience with Sameer and his entire team. From our engagement photo shoot till we got our wedding day...Sameer was always there for us with any question we had during the wedding. Sameer always took the time and initiative to explain the process which made all our events much smoother. On our wedding day we met Ajay and Nick, who are the cinematographer and they were equally nice and very easy to work with. Last but not the least Raj uncle, the videographer, he was amazing! Raj Photo and Video did the videography for our wedding in Chelsea, New York this April. We hired them just before the event and they were completely professional from the first moment we contacted them. Every communication, by email, by phone and in person has been professional and helpful in every way. On the day of the wedding, we really appreciated that they brought in extra staff so we would not miss any important parts or angles of our event! They were easy, kind, unobtrusive and polite in every way. We never even knew when they were around! It was seamless! We all felt completely comfortable around their team. One of their staff, who had been coordinating with us before the wedding, even came over from another event late in the evening to ensure all had been smooth and just as we had envisioned. We considered many videographers in the NYC area for this wedding, which was a grand and elaborate affair. But we chose Raj Photo and Video for their incredible thoughtfulness and very high interest from the beginning in making the video a treasured memory, and providing us with exactly the feel and direction that we would most like to see portrayed. I'm going to be honest...we planned our wedding January (2016) on a very tight budget. I wanted a photographer and videagrapher that wasn't going to cost an arm and a leg. That's when I came across Raj Photo Video. There's that saying that says you pay what you get for...well compared to other costs I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. Wedding day comes and goes they are there we do pictures they were around all night and they recorded everything. Flash forward a week or two we get our highlight reel from the wedding we were OBSESSED with it. We then got all our edited images and I loved them. The hard part was picking out pictures for the album...I did so about 10 months later (oops). I came home today from work to find my wedding album not at all expecting it and I absolutely am in love. It was not at all what I was expecting. It's perfect! Lesson learned...sometimes you find honest at home guys who don't charge you like other photographers for working out of their own homes! P.S. he did travel a distance for us also! I would 100% recommend them! They're work is awesome!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Raj Photo Video for our wedding photography, and out of all the important choices we made during our entire wedding process, this was easily one of the best! From the start, they were very warm toward us, and they made it clear that they did not intend to only capture us from afar. Rather, they entered our lives as new friends, and the fun we had together naturally brought out our most photogenic moments. Like many photographers, they have an expert eye for all the elements that made a good picture: posing, lighting, backdrop, etc. But where they really stand out is their personality. They are charming, disarming, and every one of our family and friends loved them. Corralling dozens of people into group shots is not easy, but they were naturals at working with everyone. Finally, I’d just like to comment on how they repeatedly went above and beyond their obligations to make sure that we were happy. For example, when we realized after the wedding that we had forgotten to show them some of our home decorations, they took time out of their weekend to drive over and take those pictures. Finding a good photographer for a reasonable price is extremely difficult. My fiancé and I thought we had done just that, except 48 hours before our wedding our photographer cancelled. We were left scrambling to find someone on short notice. Luckily we found Rakesh. We didn’t have a lot of time to get to know him but he agreed to shoot our wedding and we hoped for the best. He showed up on time and from our first impression we had struck GOLD. He was extremely courteous and professional right off the bat and got right to work. Without direction he blended into our party and took candid shots of our guests. During the ceremony he was able to capture all the key moments you would expect then gave us a minute before all the glitzy one on one photos you want for the album. He had already scoped out the property for the best spots where the lighting and backdrop was just right and proceeded to position us to get the best results. I mean honestly, he stopped to show us how the pictures were coming out and we were blown away. At this point we started to forget about pictures and just be ourselves and have fun. After the one on one and family shots we were free to get back to our party and guests, but Rakesh continued to take candid shots. By the end of the night most people in our party felt so comfortable with him they thought he was a personal friend of ours that was photographing our wedding as a favor to us. He had amazing energy and read the room like no one I’ve ever seen. Truly a blessing to have him capture your event, but on 48 hrs notice it was literally a miracle. We would recommend him for anyone and 100% plan on using him in the future.
