Their Deepavali night was one of the best I’ve ever attended! Music, dance, traditional food, and beautiful decor made it unforgettable. It’s heartening to see Tamil culture celebrated so passionately in Rochester.
What stands out the most is how inclusive this group is. Whether you’ve been in the U.S. for decades or just arrived, you're welcomed with open arms. There’s a real sense of unity and pride in our shared culture.
My children were born here, and I wanted them to learn Tamil and understand our heritage. Thanks to the language classes and cultural programs, they now sing Thirukkural, participate in dance performances, and even speak with their grandparents in Tamil!
As a newcomer to Rochester, I was overwhelmed until I found this amazing Tamil community. The warmth, support, and cultural activities made me feel instantly at home. From Tamil New Year celebrations to Pongal potlucks, every event is filled with joy and togetherness.
