Our young one has been learning under Dhara-ji for about 18 months now and we are absolutely thrilled with the learning experience. To elaborate: (1) There is core sincerity; a genuine interest in making students learn and appreciate classical music (2) The curriculum is structured but the teaching is not mechanical. Students are taught values of aesthetic presentation and discipline (3) Dhara-ji is super friendly, patient, and encouraging but the content is not dumbed down (4) The class size, format (group + solo singing), and use of technology works well (5) There is an effort by Ruchir-ji and Dhara-ji to cultivate a sense of community rather than just some commercially-oriented classes.

Oct 2024: Update on my ongoing music learning experience at ICMSC. Has been three years now and it continues to be an amazing, enriching, & enjoyable experience. Dhara ma’m is very motivating and goes the extra mile to make our learning process fun and effortless. ICMSC has now added Live Tabla for some sessions which adds immensely to our understanding. Dharaji is super talented and gifted teacher - a rare combination. She is very patient, encouraging and dedicated. Ruchirji and Vagmi do an excellent job of keeping everything organized and respond to student queries in a timely manner. I really look forward to music lessons and feel motivated to practice. Blessed to have found ICMSC. If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would.

My experience with Pt. Vibhakar Pandey has been exceptional. I had little knowledge of Hindustani classical music and have a non-Indian background and yet Guruji took good care to teach me from the beginning. He is a great guru for students who are passionate and dedicated. He does not give or allow shortcuts and makes sure that you will have a firm foundation in musical knowledge and vocal skill. He tailors his classes to each student based on their needs and goals, and while strict he is also encouraging and kind. I highly recommend Guruji for any serious student.

Pt. Vibhakar Pandey ji, is an excellent Guru. The classes are taken on one to one basis. Every student is different and his expectations from this class are different. May it be learning Hindustani Classical Music only, or being able to perform on stage, or become a playback singer. Any student who shows willingness and dedication to put efforts, they definitely get what they want. Only rule is to work hard. Guruji is very caring and concerned for his students and willing to share as much of his knowledge as student has the hunger for, no limitations. He is very hardworking and strict. Dharaji is wonderful with the young kids! She is very patient and kind but also motivates them to learn and practice. We have been doing classes online and it has worked out very well with no technical issues. Also, it is very helpful to have audio recordings on Google classroom to practice from. Overall, the classes and curriculum are very well organized and teaching methods are very effective, even for the little ones.

Individually, she is an excellent singer, and is great at passing down her knowledge in a way that's systematic, efficient, and fun. I enjoy taking classes from her! If you want to learn, do so! The management is very organized, the courses are well structured and communication is clear. Dhara ji is a super talented and patient teacher. Our family is fortunate to have my two sons (age 13 and 8) and I enrolled to ICMSC and learning from our teacher - Dhara Bakshi. With super organized notes, class discipline, a small teacher to student ratio, we feel very motivated and encouraged to learn and follow the highly focused curriculum. I started learning music late in my career but lucky me I found my Guruji Pandit Vibhakar Pandey. He has an experience of 25 years in music. All of his Raga are so detailed. He is also flexible with his schedule and motivates you all the time throughout your music journey. I don't think I would have got a better teacher than him.????
