I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the phenomenal live dhol performance by Bala Mahadevan during my son's wedding. One of the highlights was the baraat procession, where he led the groom's entrance with such vigor that set the perfect tone for the wedding. In collaboration with me and my family he was able to have a playlist of songs in Tamil, Telugu as well as Hindi. He also had the perfect song for the bride's entrance. He worked well with the very demanding panditji. He understands the hindu customs and plans his playlist accordingly. Beyond his musical talent, Bala was very professional, he provided quotes and also discussed with the venue coordinator about sound systems and other challenges. He arrived on time and set up everything by himself. Very positive and works well during high pressure situations. We hired Hamza's live bollywood band for our reception. They were exceptionally well! We were initially inclined towards hiring someone from India but the cost and logistics were too much to handle so we decided to look for a band based in the US.
