As a first-time buyer, the home-buying process seemed a bit overwhelming, but thanks to Mohan Chalagalla at Realty Experts, it went much smoother than we had anticipated. The amount of time and effort he put into walking us through the whole process was impressive. He is very knowledgeable about the properties in and around the Bay Area, which helped us quickly narrow down the houses we liked. From getting the pre-approvals to closing the deal, he was able to provide several contacts and resources to speed up the process. He was so prompt that he got us the pre-approval, walked us through the paperwork, and submitted an offer within three business days for one of the houses that we liked. He was readily available for home tours and responsive to emails/calls. If I texted him a question or an update, he would often respond within just a few minutes. I have known Mohan for 3+ years now and when we were planning to buy our second home, we reached out to him to get some advice around Bay area real estate trends. Even though the interest rates were high compared to prior years, Mohan suggested that we start our home buying process without further delay. Mohan is hands on and extremely detailed and he did not waste any time to prepare a list of properties that we could look at based on our criteria and created a schedule along with getting appointments for home tours. He also recommended pre-approval and referred us to lenders he had worked with and trusted. Mohan went with us to every home we shortlisted and took detailed notes on pros and cons of each home. He also sent us the disclosures of each home and went through the documents answering all our questions in a detailed manner. Mohan is calm, patient, soft spoken and has an awesome attitude. He is also extremely diligent, knowledgeable and super responsive. He takes extra effort to make you comfortable and always answers his phone and emails promptly. He does a lot of pre-work and research behind the scenes and makes it easy on us. His recommendations are always spot on and give a detailed overview of the area, schools and other factors that we may not be completely aware of. When we identified a home that we wanted to put an offer on, Mohan went above and beyond to get all the inspection reports from the seller's agent, highlighted important areas that needed our attention and pushed for us to get the inspections done on our side so we were satisfied. He also did a lot of research on the comps and recommended an offer price that we were not only comfortable with but also competitive. He put together a winning offer packet. Needless to say, our offer was accepted and from this point on he shifted his focus on the tasks to close smoothly and successfully. Mohan consistently connected with the lender, escrow and the seller's agent to make sure we were always on time. If anything was amiss then Mohan was there to spot that and get them resolved even if it was not something he was accountable for. He was also instrumental in negotiating the list price and bringing it down after we identified a couple of fixes that we had to do in the house. Without Mohan's care and effort, we would not have had a smooth closing. It took us a little over 45 days for us to start looking at the properties and closing the home of our choice and Mohan played a very significant role to make it happen. Manu has been fantastic to work with. We listed two of our homes with her help over the past few years - one was listed three years back and the other was listed two months back. Finding a home in Silicon Valley is always challenging with the market being super competitive. It was doubly hard during Covid times as there were no open houses to research. We engaged with Manu through a recommendation of a very close friend. Manu was professional from Day 1. The minute we engaged with her, she set up a portal for us based on our requirements and we started seeing several opportunities every day - many before they got posted to websites like Zillow. She also helped us brainstorm various locations that might make sense. Manu and her team were always ready to show us as many houses as we wanted to see, sometimes multiple times and whenever it was convenient to us. They not only showed us the house but were very sharp to point out the pros and cons about every property we visited. This review has been a long pending one. Manu helped us buy our home on our terms. We were just shopping around not very serious at the time we started but we never felt pressured to buy or bid at a certain price. She was very frank from the beginning and told me the truth about the market conditions with data so that i have accurate expectations and be closer to reality, which definitely helps in the entire process. She took my preferences and kept in mind and told me about it while looking at homes. Her offer estimates and comps though unbelievable at first, but you soon start to realize they were very accurate in hindsight. Her knowledge about the area and the market were up-to-date. Being a bit detail oriented person who likes to understand what i am getting into, she dealt with me with patience and replied to all the questions with the best of her knowledge, when she was not aware of something she was not afraid to show her unawareness about it instead of giving half-baked information. We were looking to buy our first home around Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose areas. We heard about Manu from one of her ads on the Bay Area FM channels. Manu was super responsive right from the start and very easy to interact with - just a text/phone call away for any of our questions. With the current housing market, where most houses are listed only for a week, she was really prompt in scheduling viewings as well. We think this is a true necessity for anyone in the current buying market. If Manu was not able to make it to the viewing, we would always have someone from her team help us with the house viewing (though in most cases we would have Manu accompany us herself). She also got us disclosures before the scheduled viewing many a time as per our request which helped us get a good sense of the house condition before the visit. Manu and her team worked for a period of around three months to help us buy our house in the bay area. It was a great experience working with her. I would give her a 5 star rating on all the following aspects: 1) Knowledge - Manu is extremely knowledgeable of the real estate market trends. She gave us very practical guidance on what to look out in a house when buying: how to read home evaluation reports quickly and find red flags, expected expenditure on fixing a house, how good are the schools, what amenities are available for kids in an area etc. Most importantly, she was pretty spot on in her guidance around how much to bid for a house. 2) Responsiveness - Manu responded to all our queries promptly. She always showed up on time on for any phone calls we set up with her. 3) Communication - Manu was very transparent in all her communications with us. She helped us through every single step of the way. To an extent that she referred us to the best loan officer. She ensured we stay compliant throughout the contract period. The documentation she created was very clean without any errors or delays. It appeared like she was totally invested in our home buying process and gave meaningful recommendations about the home when we were in the decision making process. I would recommend Manu to anyone if you are looking for a realtor who is totally invested and passionate about buying/selling your home, especially if you are in south bay.

Manu Changotra was our listing agent and she was outstanding to work with! My husband and I conducted research to see who would be our best choice based on the investment they would make into selling the property (with regards to time and effort). Manu met us at our home and laid out the plan that she had in mind to sell our house. She answered all our questions, providing us with objective data with regards to the number of sales in our area, what they listed and sold for, and provided us with lots of comps in the area. Manu made the selling process incredibly easy and took extra steps like having a pro come stage our home, having professional photographs were taken, a 3-d video tour, and a lot more. When we saw our listing we were blown away. Manu's hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing! The weekend that she did our open house, we had offers coming in. Our house went into contract within 5 days and we sold the house for a higher price than listed. Contacted Manu to sell my old home in this not-so-normal market. She made a quick visit to my home and provided clear guidance on how to go about it; starting with prep work, staging, listing strategy, open houses etc. The house was stage beautifully and attracted many buyers during the open house. She also kept open mind in discussing options through out process. Got handful of offers and deal made within two weeks. Everything went as per plan.
